Holoka
Holoka is Choctaw for sacred and beloved. Choctaw horses arrived with Hernando De Soto in the 1500’s and were integrated into some of the tribal communities of the Southeast. In the 1830’s, these small horses carried the old and infirm on on the tragic ‘Trail of Tears’ beginning with the Choctaw indigenous peoples’ forced march from Mississippi to Oklahoma. The Choctaw horses today are important as a genetic resource for the conservation of the Colonial Spanish horses in North America.
All art works are limited edition fine art prints using the heavy weight museum grade matte paper and archival inks. Tori works directly with her printer in Minneapolis creating a print of the highest standard for your investment.
