EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHY CONTENDER: TORI GAGNE
January 12, 2017
Photographer Tori Gagne lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota and works photographing wild horses in sanctuaries, in the wild and other locations around the world. Her love of the abstract, blur, lines and movement are a thread running through her work.
Of her series Moonlit Dance, the artist writes: “The horse embodies the idea of wildness, freedom, wisdom, power protection and more. Humans have evolved side by side with the horse and forged a very unique relationship. I was inspired to create this series to show horses in a more abstract way embodying the ideas mentioned above. These images were taken at Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary in California”.

Each week, Feature Shoot editors showcase the work of one photographer who has applied to the Emerging Photography Awards in order to highlight the diverse array of applications we receive. This is not an endorsement of the photographer for the award.
